Our Magnum Terces is exclusively produced with the best three barrels of the 2011 harvest wine, presented in magnum format (1.5 liters). Terces is the result of a special blend where we selected the three best wines produced in our cellar. After making this blend we have only bottled 162 bottles of 1.5 liters, properly numbered in the original label created by the artist Isabel Cercós.
Hand picked and transported in the cases of 20kg capacity. All the grapes were selected carefully in the vineyard and the cellar. Skin contact, followed by alcoholic fermentation was took in place in the stainless tanks for 21 days (Garnacha) and 25 days (Samso). The wine was matured in French (Grenache) and American oak barrels (Samso) for 24 months, followed by malolactic fermentation. After light filtration, wine was bottled in February 2011.
The wine has deep black cherry color with good concentration. On nose, it is shay at the beginning and would need a time to show its potential. It is fruity; ripe berries, prune, with a hint of spice and balsamic note. Remarkable mineral note of the schist soil. On palate, attack is subtle and acidity is well balanced. The note of red fruit and toast of oak aging make a beautiful harmony. Tannin is smooth, fruity and corpulent. Finish is long and elegant. Fine the mineral note stays on palate.
